Yes – you are welcome and encouraged to adopt as many animals as you would like!

Is the donation amount associated with my Adopt an Animal package a one-time fee? How long is my adoption valid?

Yes - Your Adopt an Animal donation is a one-time fee, due in full at time of purchase. Your animal adoption is valid for one year from the month of purchase.

Am I able to name the animal I adopted?

No - All of the animals currently available for adoption have names.

How can I purchase an Adopt an Animal package?

I want to purchase an Adopt an Animal package as a gift.

Adopt an Animal packages make the perfect gift for any occasion! When making your purchase, you will be promoted to provide the “recipients name” – which will be included on a personalized certificate of adoption. Adoption gifts can be mailed directly to the donor or the recipient.

Will I receive a charitable tax receipt for my donation?

Yes - A charitable tax receipt will be issued to the purchaser of the package, as per the regulations set out by the Canada Revenue Agency. Business acknowledgment letters may be issued upon request, where applicable.
Full or partial tax receipts are issued where applicable. Please see package details.

When and how will I receive my charitable tax receipt?

In an effort to reduce cost and paper usage, charitable tax receipts will be issued to the purchaser by email when an email address is provided during order placement. Otherwise, charitable tax receipts will be printed and issued via Canada Post.
Please be advised, charitable tax receipts may take up to four weeks to be issued.

How and when will I receive my adoption package?

In order to keep our shipping costs as low as possible, standard packages are shipped through Canada Post, unless otherwise indicated. Tracking numbers are not provided and we are not able to advise when packages will be delivered once it has been sent from our offices. If you have not received your package within 10 business days of your purchase order, please contact the Wildlife Conservancy directly at 416-392-9114 or email ushere.
When indicated, oversized packages are shipped through Purolator and tracking numbers will be provided when a valid email address is available.

What is the refund policy?

All Adopt an Animal packages and are non-refundable.

My Adopt an Animal package was damaged upon arrival.

If your adoption package arrived damaged or otherwise incorrect, a replacement may be sent at our sole discretion and the cost of shipping will be covered by the Toronto Zoo Wildlife Conservancy. Please call 416-392-9114 or email us here to make arrangements.
